I'm glad you ejoyed it. I thought it was pretty dismal. A snidy, horrible insult from an Italian guy followed by a French "stalwart" losing his cool. Neither side deserved to win.
In fact no team really deserved the world cup this year. A hotch-potch of cynical dives and tackles, hot-heads, half-hearted performances across the board. Why do these guys earn so much, again? Shameful.

On the contrary Jon, the Italians had a clear plan, same as ever. You walk onto the field with a draw. Don't give it away.
They conceded two goals in the whole competition. They outfought the Aussies, out-skilled the Ukranians, out-organised the Germans and, despite being allegedly latinesque hotheads themselves, kept their cool more than the French.
It's all in the detail. Respect.
