I'm not being stupid, but how do you get pictures onto your profile?!?

Go to your blogger dashboard. On the right hand side should be your name, and an option to "edit profile". Click this. Should be able to scroll down and see Photograph heading.
If you want to add a photo that is already on your blog, then you can look at the photo, and select everything in the address bar at the top of your browser window, and paste this into where it says "Photo URL". Otherwise, I think there is probably an option to upload it from you computer.
If this is still not making sense, I can show you on your computer some time. Let me know. Oh, and don't forget to look at meblog too.
